Time Management Quote

April 18, 2006

From McGee-Cooper, as quoted in Time Management, Planning, and Prioritization for Librarians by Judith A. Siess:

“The divergent mind is great at generating quantity [such as tasks], but it has a difficult time remembering what has been generated. It needs a system for seeing all of the tasks that have been identified and their relative importance to one another. If there is no system in place for this ‘big picturing’ to happen, right-brained people will just get started on the last item on the list and forget about important ongoing projects that were created two weeks ago.”

Dude. That is so me.
